My career is driven by a deep belief that the societal benefit of art is immeasurable. Too often, however, we value the art above the artist, trading their safety and well-being for our own entertainment. That model is truly untenable. I am committed to creating an arts & entertainment industry culture that uplifts artists in their employment relationships.

I am the immediate past National Diversity and Inclusion Strategist at Actors’ Equity Association, the labor union representing over fifty thousand stage actors and stage managers. For three years, I directed all D&I initiatives and serve as an internal consultant to ensure that all of Equity’s activities are truly inclusive and foster a sense of belonging among those who are systemically marginalized.

I hold a BFA in Acting from the University of Miami and spent the first decade of my career as a theatre actor. I joined Actors’ Equity as a member a year after completing my degree playing Titania in A Midsummer Night’s Dream for the Alabama Shakespeare Festival. I'm particularly proud of winning a 2015 Philadelphia Barrymore Award for my work as member of the original cast of Little Rock, a docudrama recounting the integration of Little Rock Central High School.

I hold an MBA in Management from Fordham University’s Gabelli School of Business. During that time I served as Gabelli’s Inaugural Fellow for Diversity and Inclusion, working in Gabelli’s newly instituted Office for Equity, Diversity & Inclusion to develop its first ground floor inclusion training for freshmen and to pilot its first implicit bias training for graduate faculty. I also reinvigorated a defunct student organization; as the President of Gabelli’s Black and Hispanic MBA Association, I created a strong sense of community and culture sharing among students and nurtured relationships with the National Black MBA Association and the Urban League to offer special access to authentic networking and career fairs to Gabelli’s Black and Latin graduate students.

I have recently completed my studies at Fordham School of Law, earning a JD in Litigation and Dispute Resolution with practice areas in labor and employment, anti-discrimination, and entertainment law.

When I'm not in the office or classroom, I'm inhaling true crime podcasts, cultivating a green thumb, or city strolling in Brooklyn. In the era of COVID-19 quarantine, I'm directing my creative impulse toward adventures in home décor. Should I mention throw pillows or gossamer curtains, please do not encourage me.
